I grew up in Lexington and attended Lexington One schools. I graduated a year early after my family moved to Mauldin, S.C. I attended the University of South Carolina and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. I received my Master’s degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Learning Disabilities from USC. This is my 29th  year of teaching.

My husband and I have been married almost 30 years. We are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters who went to Midway when they were in elementary school. One of which has graduated from USC and the other is attending USC. In my spare time, I love reading a good book and snuggling with my dog Duece.

I’m so excited to begin my 10th year at Midway, and 14th year overall!  After receiving my Elementary Education degree from Clemson University, I taught for 5 years in Saluda, SC.  Then, I was a stay-at-home mommy for 11 years before returning to the classroom first as a kindergarten assistant, and then as a teacher.  My husband Brian and I have 3 daughters who all went to MES.  Caroline is a Sophomore at Clemson, Emily is a Senior at RBHS and Maggie is a Freshman at RBHS.  I am looking forward to a fantastic year with my second graders!
