I am looking forward to another year as a Mustang, teaching fifth grade! This will be my 14th year in Lexington 1 and my 6th year at Midway. I grew up in the Lexington schools and love working so close to home. My husband and I live nearby and enjoy spending time with our 2 sons. Hello 5th grade Mustangs! I am Erika Whitlow and I am so excited to begin my 10th year as a Mustang. I grew up in Virginia but have lived in South Carolina for over 20 years. I received my BA in elementary education from Columbia College. Together with a team of amazing and creative teachers, I am committed to providing your student with a wonderful learning experience. When I am not teaching, I love cooking, reading, and spending time with my sweet family. I am excited to share an amazing year with your children.
I am thrilled to begin my fourth year as a Midway Mustang. I have been teaching for eight years in Lexington One, and this will be my seventh year teaching fifth grade. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree from USC and my Master’s degree from Columbia College. My husband Wes and I have a son, Carter who is in first grade, a daughter, Maggie who is four years old, and we will welcome our third child in December. I am looking forward to another exciting year of leading and learning with our fabulous fifth graders!
Fifth grade at Midway is the best! This will be my seventh year at MES, and I love being part of such a wonderful school community. I was born and raised in Lexington and have both my undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of South Carolina (Go Cocks!). My husband, Todd, and busy toddler, Ellison, love spending our time with family and friends, eating delicious food, and laughing at our crazy dogs, Cooper and Taco. Fifth grade was my favorite grade in elementary school, and now it’s my favorite grade to teach! I’m looking forward to a great year!
I am looking forward to joining the Mustang family this year as a fifth grade teacher. This will be my eighth year of teaching, and my fifth year in 5th grade with Lexington One. I grew up in Columbia and love working in the community I live in. My husband and I reside in the Lexington area and have two sons. I am excited to teach another amazing group of 5th graders and prepare them for middle school and beyond.
