Aletha Corley

My name is Aletha Corley. I’ve been teaching Special Education for 28 years in Lexington School District One. I’ve taught all ages from preschool to high school. Previously, I taught Preschool at Lake Murray Elementary School for four years. I have experience with all ability levels. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Jay Corley, and we have two grown boys Daniel (27) and Jonathan (24). I grew up in Lexington and attended Lexington One Schools. I enjoy taking care of my dog (Max), two cats (Sir Purr and Stripe Kitty), fish and of course my house plants. I love running and most anything outdoors.

Britt Cannon, Assistant

Hey Mustangs! My name is Britt Cannon. I grew up in New Jersey and moved to South Carolina in 2011 to work as a firefighter for Columbia Fire Department. I have been a real estate agent for 10 years and have been subbing at Midway and River Bluff for the past year. I am also the head JV coach for the River Bluff Girls Lacrosse Team. I am so excited to be here full time! My daughter, Charlie, is a first grader here at Midway. We have two dogs, Bob and Winston, a bearded dragon, Munchkin, and 2 fish. I love to golf and hang out with my daughter and friends in my free time. I look forward to a wonderful year!

Michelle Smith, Assistant

Hello Midway Mustangs! My name is Michelle Smith. I have an associate’s degree in early care and education from Trident Technical College. I have spent 4 years with Alphabest. I am excited to be returning to the 3k classroom. I am married with 3 children and 2 dogs. I enjoy the outdoors, I love dolphins, and I like to travel. When I was a teenager, I moved from West Virginia to South Carolina, and I love living here. I am looking forward to a great school year! Let's go Mustangs!
