I have been a proud member of the Midway Elementary family since 2018, and this year marks my 12th year in education. I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I love teaching 4K and welcoming our youngest Mustangs to the classroom each day!

I have one daughter and one very spoiled rescue dog who keep life fun and busy. Outside of school, I enjoy cheering on my daughter at soccer games, traveling, backpacking, and spending time with family and friends.

I am excited to welcome a new group of students and families and look forward to another fantastic school year at Midway!

Stephanie Melancon, Assistant

Hello friends! I am so happy to be working with Ms. Beasley in the 4k classroom this year!  I have a passion for early literacy with several years of experience working with this age group. 

My husband, Steven, and I have three children. Emmie, 12, Weston, 10, and Lucas, 6. My daughter is a 7th grader at Lakeside Middle School and my son, Weston, is in fifth grade at Lexington Elementary. Lucas will be new to Midway this year as a first grader!

Our family has two dogs, a dachshund, Cooper, and a Havanese, Sandy. 

I was born and raised in South Dakota. My husband and I have lived in 5 different states since we were married in 2011. We have lived in Lexington since 2021. I love baking and having fun with my family. I also enjoy crafting and the Peloton. 

I’m thrilled to be able to learn and grow alongside our students at Midway this year!
