4th Grade

Paoloa Aldana

Immersion Math/Science

Bonjour! My name is Madame Paola Aldana, and I am thrilled to be your child’s French Immersion teacher this year at Midway Elementary School.

I bring over 20 years of international teaching experience in world languages—Spanish, French, and English. I’ve had the opportunity to live and study in France, which helped me deepen my knowledge and love for the French language and culture. I also hold a Master’s degree in Education and have proudly been a South Carolina educator for the past four years.

Teaching children and watching them grow as curious, confident, and bilingual learners is my greatest passion. I believe in creating a warm, inclusive classroom where every student feels valued and inspired to do their best.

I can’t wait to begin this exciting school year together and look forward to partnering with you to support your child’s journey.

Leigh Ann Senn

Immersion ELA/Social Studies

Hello Mustangs! I am so excited to begin my 14th year at Midway. I’m originally from Alabama, but I’ve proudly called Lexington home for 26 years. My husband, Scott (who works for the Town of Lexington), and I are incredibly proud parents to two amazing daughters: Jessica, a former college softball player who recently graduated from Mars Hill University with a Biomedical degree and now works for Prisma Health; and Savanna, a freshman nursing student at USCB.

At home, life is happily supervised by our two dogs, Duke and Sadie Belle. In my free time, I love cooking, reading, and relaxing. Let’s make it another great year at Midway!

Lauren Stuckey

My name is Lauren Stuckey.  I am so excited for my seventeenth year in education and my fifth year at Midway. I graduated from the University of South Carolina, and I am a huge Gamecock fan! Although we are not military, my family has had the opportunity to move quite a bit the last seventeen years. I have had the opportunity to teach many different grade levels and work with some amazing educators! Fourth grade is one of my favorite grades to teach, and I am excited to have the opportunity to work with your children this school year.

Stephanie Turbeville

I have been teaching in Lexington District One schools since 1994, and I have taught 4th grade at Midway Elementary School since 2006. I have lived in Lexington all of my life. I attended Lexington schools and graduated from Lexington High School. I have four children who have participated in the French Immersion Program at MES. Three are River Bluff High School graduates, and one is a Freshman at River Bluff. I enjoy reading, music, dance, swimming, photography, crocheting, and arts and crafts. My family is involved in a variety of sports and dance. We also enjoy supporting the RB Gators and family trips to the beach.

Jennifer Uhl

Hello, Midway Mustangs! My name is Jennifer Uhl (pronounced yule), and I am excited for another amazing year in the 4th grade! The 2026-27 school year will be my 24th year in education. I have been in various teaching roles and school administrator roles throughout my career. I am married and have a 7th grade son and 8th grade daughter at Lakeside (who both previously attended Midway), and three step-kids in 6th, 8th, and 10th grade. In my free time, I love listening to music, doing Pilates, reading, baking, and spending time with my family, labradoodle, and tuxedo cat. I look forward to a great year at Midway and getting to know each other!
