Interventionist

I am beginning my 16th year as a Midway Mustang and my 21st year as an educator.  My husband Brian and I have three daughters, Caroline, Emily, and Maggie, who were all Mustangs at one time.  My favorite vacation spots are the beach and Disney World! I love cheering for the Clemson Tigers and going to as many games as possible.  

I have a degree from Clemson University in Elementary Education.   I am certified in both Early Childhood and Elementary Education.  I love providing extra support for students and helping them become experts in reading and math!  In my spare time, I enjoy putting together jigsaw puzzles and decorating cakes and cookies!

Melissa Mixon

I have been an educator for 20 years. I have taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade, as well as spending 6 years as a literacy coach. I have been a Midway Mustang for the last 17 years. I have one daughter who is in middle school and a preschool boy.  We have 2 dogs and 2 rabbits. We enjoy spending time on the lake, riding bikes, and reading. I love teaching and learning. I know that even the most challenging of times can teach us powerful lessons about ourselves and the world. It's our job to watch, listen, and learn.

Adriana Garcia Bracho

Hello! I am Mme. Garcia, I am gracious and excited to start my fourth year as part of the Mustang family! 

I am from Venezuela and I have a Bachelor's in Education with focus in Modern Languages. I have been working for over 12 years teaching French, English, and Spanish to people of different ages, but I have to recognize that kids are my favorite kind of audience! Teaching languages is my passion, and being able to give my students such a powerful tool to connect and interact with the rest of the world really fulfills my heart.  I am also happy to be able to help my students get better in maths and boost their confidence to believe in their potential as a person and as mathematicians. 

I love dancing, trying new food, going to restaurants, traveling, and spending time with my husband Mario and my 9-year-old daughter Maria. They are my best companions in this exciting life adventure in the United States.
