Hope Lloyd

This is my 20th year teaching and having fun with kids.  I have enjoyed 10 years here at Midway. I have loved watching kids grow, learn, and explore new things throughout my time as an educator.

I have a degree from Columbia College in Elementary Education. I am certified in both Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I also have a master’s degree in Divergent Learning from Columbia College and hold my National Board Certification in Early Childhood. 

Outside of school, I love to spend time with my family. I am married and have two boys. One of my boys attends River Bluff and the other graduated from RB in 2022. We spend much of our time at the baseball field with my youngest as he plays for RB. Go Gators! I also love spending time with my sweet Cockapoo. She is my one and only girl!

I cannot wait to continue working with our parents and students toward our vision to "guide all students to learn, grow, and excel." Go Mustangs!

Darline Louis

I am thrilled to be part of the Midway Elementary School. I graduated from Miami Dade College in Early Childhood Education. I am a mother of three boys - two are attending college and one is in seventh grade. I love to learn, and I believe teaching allows me to learn as I am teaching students and it keeps me informed on how I can better my teaching skills and strategies daily. 

I love plants, and I garden. I grow my vegetables and herbs. I love football and dancing. My favorite color is white, and my favorite season is summer.

Fun fact about me: I am a Zumba instructor.

Please feel free to inform me of any new strategies and new methods of teaching that you think would be necessary in helping my students progress. I am always open to learning. Thank you 

Melissa Mixon

I have been an educator for 22 years. I have taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade, as well as a literacy coach and an interventionist. I have been a Midway Mustang for the last 17 years. I have one daughter in middle school and a preschool boy.  We have 1 dog and 2 rabbits. We enjoy spending time on the lake, riding bikes, and reading. I love teaching and learning. I know that even the most challenging of times can teach us powerful lessons about ourselves and the world. It's our job to watch, listen, and learn. All students can learn, just not in the same way or on the same day.
